Renn to Indianapolis: "You're #1 in Job Growth"

More encouraging news came from Aaron Renn, The Urbanophile,  last night in a well-constructed presentation during Indy Partnership's annual meeting at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  Renn provided a data-driven analysis of the Greater Indianapolis Region's relative job growth position to a standing-room-only crowd.

Renn used U.S. Census and Labor Department data to show that the Indianapolis MSA is #1 in job growth from 2000-2008, versus all Midwestern MSAs of over one million residents.  He went on to report that the "newness" of the job growth trend is evidence that the Greater Indianapolis Region is only witnessing the dawn of its heyday.

In his analysis, Renn helped validate Indy Partnership's recent acclaims of 2008 (Site Selection Magazine) and 2009 (IEDC).  The Indy Partnership is a data-driven organization. We provide our clients and investors with value-added labor and business climate information, so they make better decisions.

And we have a great product to sell.  We are now competing with the most attractive cities in the world, and winning.  Our airport (IND) and Indianapolis Museum of Art have taken top world honors.  We are doubling convention and hotel space.  Stay tuned, we will be even better in the next two years as we become America's world stage for the Final Four in 2010 and the Superbowl in 2012.
